Pumpkin Walk 2008

Collin's class did a display for the pumpkin walk. He was excited to show us which pumpkin was his. Every year I am amazed with the displays they are so neat. Here are some pictures of our favorite displays. (If you click on the pictures you can see them better.)

Kung Fu panda

Sword in the Stone

Noah's Ark

Larry Boy - Veggie Tales

The boys had a lot of fun putting their faces in the holes. Especially Ryan he kept running back to Yoda, it was his favorite and his face fit perfectly.

Ryan Counting

Here is a better video of Ryan counting to ten. I love his little voice. We are working on the number four instead of Yellow (Maybe yellow is his favorite color). He has said it right a few times. He is learning so fast.

Ryan counts to 10

Ryan counted to ten for the first time today, Friday October 3, 2008. I knew that he knew most of the letters but I was excited to hear him say them all the way through. At first he said all of the numbers perfectly then after a while he started saying "yellow" instead of four (so cute). He won't say the next number until we repeat the previous number after him. When I got the camera Adam kept saying the wrong number. We'll try again tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get a better video.

Potty Training

Collin is almost officially potty trained. One day last week I put underwear on him and he decided that he likes to go potty in the toilet, yeah! We went out of town last weekend so he was in pull ups the whole weekend, but he wore underwear all day today with NO ACCIDENTS! When he needs to potty he runs down the hall saying "I gotta potty"! So Cute. He pretty much trained himself. I hope Ryan will want to potty train soon because of watching him. Cross your fingers for me.

Golden Spike Museum

Collin is looking at the big train.

The kids had so much fun running around and looking at the trains.

Ryan really enjoyed walking on the tracks and throwing rocks.

Ryan stood on the platform and danced around for a while. When I tried to take him off the platform he cried because he didn't want to leave.

The train is getting prepared to be put away for the night.

We sat back and watched as the train smoke spit out smoke.

The train drove right passed us and the conductor waved at us. It was pretty cool.

Collin waved to the conductor as he drove passed us. Ryan cried when the horn honked. It was loud for him.

DINOSAUR PARK

We went to the dinosaur park in Ogden for Memorial day. We didn't get there till 6:00. It was the perfect time of day to go. We were practically the only people there, which was so nice.

The kids had so much fun playing in the park area. They especially loved the treehouse slide and Ryan loved playing in the sand while Collin enjoyed climbing up on the animals.

Collin enjoyed comparing his hands to the size of the donosaur prints. He also loved to look at the volcano. Ryan had so much fun just running around.

We bought season passes that are good for a whole year. It will pay for itself after only 2 visits. So we look forward to going back soon.

This was the inside display of the T-Rex and the triceratops. It was kind of dark and the sound is slightly off but it is still pretty cool.

Gall bladder and Stones

Well I had my gall bladder taken out on Tuesday May 14. Sorry this looks kinda gross. There are four stones in this picture and I'm pretty sure there are still more in the gall bladder. There are a bunch of brown clots in the brown liquid - Those were the beginnings of new stones so I'm glad I had it taken out.
I'm feeling a lot better today. Yesterday in the hospital every time I would relax and almost fall asleep the monitors would beep because my breathing would slow down. So I had to breath into a mask that was supposed to open my lungs and help me breathe better.
As for the operation pains the medicine is keeping the pain under control. I have cut the dosage because the vicodin was making me sick. When I'm sitting down I feel okay. When I stand up I can feel the incisions. But I think I am doing pretty well.

Long Night

I have been having pains in my back and ribs for the last week. I assumed it was gas pains (although I didn't have gas) so I didn't worry about it. Yesterday evening the pains started and didn't go away all night. At about 2:30 it got so bad I thought I was going to pass out. So I called my Parents and my dad came over and Adam gave me a blessing. The pain lessened quickly but I still felt it so I went to the hospital. He gave me a sonogram and I have gall stones. I will find out today if I have to have an operation to have them taken out. Which I think an operation is imminent. It was 5:00 when I got home and Ryan got up at 6:45 so I am exhausted.

Field Trip

We went on a field trip to the heritage center with Melody Lane Preschool Thursday. We looked at the animals and even got to hold some. Collin's loved the animals especially the baby chicks and ducks. He had fun touching them in the pen but when he got the chance to hold them he got a little bit nervous. When we left he said his favorite animal was the pigs. What a fun day!

Feeding the Ducks

These ducks used to live down the road but they have been hanging out at our house. Collin threw bread at them and we watched them eat. When Collin got closer they ran and he chased them. I hope we didn't scare them away... they were so much fun.

Playing in the Sand

The kids loved playing in the Sand. Ryan played in the sand almost the whole time.

Collin Loved playing in the ocean... He would run into the water and wait for a wave. When the waves came in he ran from them as fast as he could so he wouldn't get too wet. He fell in a couple times and he just kept going back in for more...
Uncle David buried Collin in the sand... He liked it until he realized he couldn't move then he cried. Ryan loved the water too... He has no fear Papa saved him from a wave. We had so much fun.

Monterey Wharf

Collin and Mommy walked through the rocks by the water looking at sea creatures while Ryan and Grandpa went to see the sea lions.
Collin and Ryan liked to watch the boats...

Crazy Uncle Donovan... People walking by stopped to take pictures of Donovan in his shirt...
